Unit 201B
Three summer interns assigned to empty an "ancient" storage unit find themselves stuck with a much bigger decision than what to keep and what to throw away.
Set in the present, Unit 201B follows the women's health and wellness titan, Promethaglow, and its summer interns Penny, Ned, and Adam as they empty a company-owned storage unit. Riddled with boxes of trash, legal documents, VHS tapes, and who knows what, the unit seems void of life and value. However, in hopes of impressing the higher-ups, the interns decide to go against their boss's wishes and rifle through the unit's contents to find anything worth keeping. After only scratching the surface of the boxes inside, the group finds far more than just outdated promotional material and expired samples. Grappling with Promethaglow's past, the interns descend into an intense discussion of what to do with their findings and what this decision could mean for their futures.
Written by Max von Kolnitz and conceived by Aren Duffy, Chloe Harris, Emma Jansch, Charlie Kungl, Colby Murphy, and Amy Shapiro, Unit 201B was devised as a part of Ithaca College's 2025 MTD Collaboratory. Collaboratory is a course offered by Ithaca College in which students are given the time, space, and resources over the course of one semester to devise an original work about a topic of their choice.
